The Short Version:

This all started as an attempt to get rid of the massive pile of unread books threatening to take over my bedroom. I've made a vow not to purchase a single book for myself this year, and for every book that I do read, I'm donating $5 to charity in honor of the dog I lost to cancer in May of 2009. I'm not going it alone, though: occasionally one of my friends will be joining me with their own reviews.
